Oakland Protest’s “Woman On A Horse” Gets Her Own Mural
Thanks to the SF Gate and @muralsofoakland for letting us know that the woman who rode a horse at George Floyd Oakland protest on May 29th got her own mural.
Brianna Noble is a black horsewoman and small business owner. She rode horseback through an Oakland demonstration for George Floyd with her fist in the air and a Black Lives Matter sign attached to her saddle.
The image was so striking that the owners of Luka’s Taproom at West Grand Ave. and Broadway reached out to artist Chris Granillo with a mural idea. Granillo invited PanchoPescador and other artists Project Pat, Reon Jarreau, Christian Munoz, and Chicano Eyes to join him on the Oakland mural project.

On June 4th, the mural was finished; the mural shows Brianna Noble on horseback as the centerpiece and fiery scene of shadowed revolutionaries holding fists, signs, and flags to the air and from the far right of the mural is a portrait of Nipsey Hussle.
