Last Chance: 2020 U.S. Census Deadline is Tonight
Thanks to NPR for letting us know that the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Trump administration request to end counting in the 2020 census.
In response, the U.S. Census Bureau announced it will accept responses online at My2020Census.gov through Oct. 15 until 11:59 p.m. Hawaii time. (That’s 2:59am Friday in the Bay Area)
The census bureau has also set Oct. 15 as the postmark deadline for paper forms and as the end date for collecting phone responses.
So this is your last chance to be counted.
Your Last Chance to Fill Out the 2020 Census
Deadline: Friday 10/16/20 at 2:59am Pacific Time
The U.S. Census Bureau has announced it will end the 2020 Census Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time (HST), so we want to make sure every San Franciscan does the census NOW at: my2020census.gov or by phone at 844-330-2020.
Why is it important?
- Your response helps to direct billions of dollars in federal funds to local communities for schools, roads, and other public services.
- Results from the 2020 Census will be used to determine the number of seats each state has in Congress and your political representation at all levels of government.
