Event Details

Join Minna Ocker and Michaela Duncanson for this relaxing journey combining Restorative yoga with the soothing sounds of Tibetan sound bowls and koshi chimes. A gentle, immersive experience designed to calm the nervous system, release tension, and invite profound rest.

As we gather on the Spring Equinox, we honor this seasonal turning point, when we observe the balance between light and dark. The equinox invites us to reset, plant new intentions, and create space for growth.

We’ll begin with Restorative yoga postures, using bolsters, blankets, and props to fully support the body. These long-held, comfortable poses allow you to soften muscular effort, quiet the mind, and shift into a state of deep relaxation. This practice is accessible to all levels—no prior yoga experience needed.

As your body settles, you’ll be guided into an immersive sound journey. The soothing vibrations of Tibetan sound bowls, chimes, and other gentle instruments will wash over you, helping to clear energetic blockages and bring the mind into a peaceful, grounded state.

Minna (Spring ’23) and Michaela (Fall ’23) are both graduates of Yoga Flow’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program and teach weekly classes.

Michaela learned to teach Restorative yoga from Judith Hanson Lasater and is grateful for the ways that this focus has further developed her perspective on the practice of yoga. Her weekly classes at Ocean focus on slow, soothing flows that focus on finding presence through each breath. She also incorporates Sound Healing techniques she learned from Yoga Flow Co-Founders Steven and Kathleen Holm into these classes.

Minna studied Sound Healing with Steven Holm and Dana Damara, and has enjoyed integrating these healing tools into her practice to augment the effects of yoga to calm the mind and nervous system.
