Shadowy Ballads and Tales Told In Minor Keys
Brendan Getzell is man whose heart is always in a state of revolution. Former long time host of the Hotel Utah open mic, he is the musical director of Kat Robichaud’s Misfit Cabaret, instrumentalist for the monthly Lavender Live Song Cabaret “Crooners,” host of his own themed piano cabaret performance revue at Martuni’s, leader of the ensemble “The Getz,” and so many, many more projects.
Melinda Kausek has been singing and making up songs for as long as she can remember. Her music dances between folk, blues, and pop with an old-timey twist. Dreamy melodies float over the haunting twang of her banjolele and moody guitar stylings, while her lyrics explore the dark and light sides of life and love, magic and freedom.
Hosted by the yeoman of darkness himself, E.G. Phillips as part of his 2nd Saturdays residency series.
