The final stage of the 2013 Amgen Tour of California hits San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, Hwy 1, Point Reyes National Seashore, Bodega Bay, Occidental, and finishes in Santa Rosa which will feature the largest crowd to ever the see the finish of the race.
An early race start at Marina Green in San Francisco (dictated by live race coverage on NBC) will assure a smooth closure of the Golden Gate Bridge. This will be the third time in 52 years that the bridge has been totally closed for a special event.
Stage 8 – San Francisco to Santa Rosa – Sunday, May 19, 2013
- Starts at 8:15 am at Marina Green
- Ends at 11:41 pm (approx.) in Downtown Santa Rosa
Lifestyle Festival Hours: 8:30 am–12:30 pm – located at the finish
>> Best place to watch: Golden Gate Bridge: Although traffic to cars is closed on the Golden Gate Bridge, we are told that spectators will be allowed on the bridge off to the side to watch the race.
