Chinatown Lion Dance Festival

Experience the excitement of the traditional lion dance, performed by skilled dancers to the beat of the drums. Watch as they weave through the streets, bringing good luck and fortune to all who witness. A conglomeration of culture and community that will create a truly captivating exhibition of performance.

The event has historically taken place on Grant Ave. (between Sacramento & Jackson Sts.), in the heart of Chinatownm but 2024 event details have not yet been announced as of 7/19/24. Time listed are from 2023 as well, but we expect it to be similar for 2024.

The goal is to bring people into SF Chinatown to enjoy culture, entertainment and feel the sense of community.
