Join Oakland artist Sally Weber for the launch of “FLUX”, a laser-based work installed in an empty storefront. Sally will be available for a meet and greet during the Picnic on Telegraph event on 4700 Telegraph Avenue.

Beginning in October 2020 and through 2021, Oakland Art Murmur, in partnership with Immersive Arts Alliance and local property owners, will activate empty storefronts with art created by Bay Area artists.

Placing creative work in a storefront that would otherwise stand empty is an intervention of a special kind, inviting us to reflect on the way artists, art, and audience are put at risk by capitalism, even as we depend on joined commerce. Each month, join us as artists install work in empty storefronts.

Help OAM and IAA continue this work by making a donation to the program. 100% of the proceeds will go towards production, installation and artist compensation.
