Bay Beats: SF’s Free Music Streaming Service
San Francisco Public Library’s Bay Beats is an exciting new local free music streaming service that champions the exciting musical talent in our own Bay Area backyard. It’s like Spotify, but with the goal to help you discover Bay Area bands and musicians.
- Discover new music
- Local musicians will have the opportunity to submit original tracks for inclusion in Bay Beats.
- Bay Area music influencers will review submissions and select albums.
- Musicians receive an honorarium payment for their participation if chosen and upon signing a licensing agreement.
- Anyone looking to delve into the vibrant local music scene can stream music on Bay Beats, while SFPL card holders can download albums.
…And did we mention that this service is all free?
Bay Beats has partnered with Amoeba, an independent music store, to make our site a vibrant part of the local music community. In addition to our online presence, we plan to host events and concerts featuring the musicians on the site.
If you have an idea, a suggestion or want to collaborate with us, contact us at team@baybeats.sfpl.org.
