We’re celebrating the opening of our new show Beauty & the Beast: California Wildflowers and Climate Change on Friday, January 14 with a reception and gallery talk with Bay Area conservation photographers Rob Badger and Nita Winter. Experience California’s extraordinary wildflowers as you’ve never seen them before and learn about the dangers facing our natural habitats from climate change.
The show will be up till April and will be available for viewing during the JCCSF’s operating hours.

Photographers Rob Badger and Nita Winter are based in the Bay Area and have been capturing powerful images for over three decades. Their work has been seen in galleries throughout California including the Thoreau Center for Sustainability in San Francisco, the G2 Gallery in Venice, CA, and featured in publications such as American Photo, Los Angeles Times, Natural Home, New York Times, OMNI, Sunset, Sierra Wilderness Society, Time and the Washington Post. Their new book, which accompanies this exhibit, Beauty and the Beast: California Wildflowers and Climate Change, has won multiple awards since its recent publication, including the Sierra Club’s Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography
