This year Mexico is commemorating a once in a lifetime event: the “Bicentenario”, in which the Redwood City community will join Mexico in celebrating 200 years of Independence and 100 years of its Revolution to commemorate these events, the Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco will be spearheading a series of cultural, academic and community events events in San Francisco and the Bay Area., in order to reinforce the values and legacy of Mexican culture in the past 200 years, to the diverse population of Northern California.

The event will take place on Sunday, June 13th. Among the many events, the day will be kicked off with a parade. The main stage will feature live music from 4 different groups. There will also be a community stage showcasing the local talent of children from our schools and other church and community groups that will perform theater, dance, singing and other artistic talents.
