Bayview Hunters Point’s longest-running annual event, the Black Cuisine Festival, was created to highlight culinary talents passed through generations. The Black Cuisine Festival shares delectable food rooted in African American tradition, bringing people together for a little taste of soul.
2020 Black Cuisine Festival
Saturday, March 7, 2020 | 11 am – 6 pm

FREE, but bring along some cash for food purchasesThe event has become a well-rounded festival with food booths, vendors, live entertainment, fun for kids, cookbooks, and the ever-popular cooking contest. If you want some “down home” southern soul food cookin’, don’t miss the 40th Anniversary of the Black Cuisine Festival.
2020 Black Cuisine Festival
- Live Entertainment featuring Grand Theft Reunion (feat. Larry White, former of the Whispers), The Seastrunk Brothers and performance by local Bay Area bands.
- Some of the offerings include: fried chicken, catfish, oxtails, ribs, links, black-eyed peas, red beans and rice, greens, yams, mac & cheese, cornbread, sweet potato pie, peach cobbler, pound cake and other soulful delights–all of which will be sure to rival mama and grandmas’ down-home cooking.
