Event Details

We are inviting you to join us at the Civic Center Plaza across from City Hall on Polk Street between McAllister St. & Grove St. at 1pm on May 18th for a rally to demand decarceration and investment in Black TGI power. The event will be livestreamed.

The purpose of this rally is to have the public understand the violence of incarceration, its impact on the TGI community, and give people ways to join and invest in the decarceration work we’re doing.

The rally will be opened with TGIJP’s Legal Director reading testimonies from our family on the inside, and will be followed by featured speakers that are members of TGIJP and our re-entry legal assistant.

Masks & sanitizer will be provided and we will be practicing maintaining 6 feet distance.
