Sing, exchange stories and eat free s’mores at a bonfire at the Marina until midnight with YeaShOre, a local Jewish organization that throws bonfire of reflection parties around the Jewish New Year and High Holy Days.
Everyone is welcome (in other words, you don’t have to be Jewish) to come and enjoy the roasted potatoes, onions and kosher marshmallows. There’s also a short Havdalah ritual an hour after sunset, but you’re not required to join in and can instead feel free to come and simply enjoy the bonfire and food.
But don’t forget to bring your inspiring stories of change, songs, drums and other musical instruments, along with some potluck-type fare and bring something to burn as a way of letting go of it.
Emeryville Marina (3310 Powell St. #A, Emeryville) | Saturday, September 17 | 6:30-11p | FREE
