2013 BritWeek Festival | Union Square

Join the first annual 2013 BritWeek Festival in Union Square for a day of British-themed festivities including a typical British beer garden, a British treat and souvenir market, plus theatre, live music and other entertainment acts on stage throughout the day from 10 am to 6 pm on May 4, 2013.

Up-and-coming British singer and songwriter Vanessa Knight is headlining the day’s entertainment program. All the way from Wales, via Los Angeles, Alex Troup, lead singer of rock band Troup, also joins the lineup.

2013 BritWeek Festival Entertainment Lineup

• 11-11.30am – The Sardine Family Circus on stage
• 11:30-12 noon – The Brass Farthing at the Beer Garden
• 12:10-12:30pm – The Les Edwins Show on stage
• 1:15-1:35pm – The Brass Farthing on stage
• 2:15-2:40pm – The Sardine Family Circus on stage
• 3:30-3:50pm – Alex Troup on stage (lead singer of rock band Troup)
• 5:20-5:40pm – Vanessa Knight on stage (British singer-songwriter)

They will also have Fred Anderson performing comedy, magic, crazy stunts and escape-artistry throughout the day in the Square.

The Festival Village hosts British treats and souvenirs including: the BritArt Gallery, San Francisco Teatime and Fiona’s Sweet Shoppe, as well as a typical British beer garden serving British beers and cocktails, plus booths and entertainment from Roxie Market, King Knish, Old Skool Cafe, Cable Car Clothier, Neil’s Yard Remedies, Alexander G Hair Salon, American Conservatory Theatre, SF Playhouse and Dickens Fair.
