Enjoy a lovely afternoon with the author and illustrator Karina Zhou. Indulge in a reading of Eddy’s Shadow Puppets and learn to build your own puppet from scratch!

Karina Zhou is a Canadian author, illustrator and animator based in San Francisco. She loves crafting stories that bring joy and a sense of wonder to readers around the world. She is the author-illustrator of the picturebooks ‘Kai’s Tea Eggs’ and ‘Eddy’s Shadow Puppets’, published by Arsenal Pulp Press.
With a background in Animation, Karina loves exploring creativity with a diverse toolset of mediums and storytelling techniques. Throughout her work, Karina hopes to provoke meaningful conversations about how culture, art, and community practices shape our connections to each other. When not at her desk, you can find Karina outdoors immersed in evergreen trees and sipping on chamomile tea.
