2014 California Coastal Cleanup Day Party & Free BBQ | Sausalito

Spend Saturday morning helping clean up the California coast and be rewarded at the free annual BBQ and party at the Bay Model Visitors Center in Sausalito from noon to 3 pm on September 20, 2014.

You will be working on Aramburu Island to make Richardson Bay and their backyards a cleaner, healthier place for families, friends, and the amazing birds that call it home. You’ll also spend some time bird watching and learning about the restoration project that transformed the island into a haven for nesting and migratory birds.

Meet at the Strawberry Boat Dock (parking will be available at Strawberry Point Elementary School, Mill Valley) at 8:45 am, and you will leave for the island at 9 am. Volunteers are encouraged to bring SUPs or kayaks if you have them. Due to the remote nature of this site, they cannot take children under 7 years old.
