2019 California Coastal Cleanup Day | How to Sign Up

Help keep San Francisco’s stretch of the coastline clean at the 2019 California Coastal Cleanup Day on the third Saturday of September.

Cleanup and restoration activities will be happening in San Francisco, Marin, and Pacifica, including China Beach, Marin County, Fort Funston, San Francisco, Baker Beach, Lands End, Ocean Beach, Presidio of San Francisco, San Mateo County, and Crissy Field.

HOW TO GET STARTED

1. Choose a Site and Register. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.

• Individuals, families, and small groups: register online below.
• Groups of 20 or more volunteers: please email volunteer@parksconservancy.org to register.

2. Cleanup Sites: View map or choose by location below.

• Clean Up En Route—Pick up trash and debris while heading to your site.
• San Francisco—East
• San Francisco—West (click or scroll down to view sites)
• Marin (coordinated through The Bay Model, scroll down for GGNRA sites in Marin)
• San Mateo County
• Pacifica (coordinated through Pacifica Beach Coalition)

3. On Saturday, 9/21 at 9 am, arrive at the cleanup site with:

• Youth Volunteers (18 and under) – Bring a parent signed waiver: English waiver (PDF) | Spanish waiver (PDF).
• Proper clothing—closed-toe shoes (no sandals), sunscreen, hat, and layers.
• Your own reusable supplies. Limit waste by bringing your own bag or bucket, gloves, and water bottle if you have them. CONSERVE–BYO this year.
