Event Details

How does a pitcher plant trap its prey? Why shouldn’t I tease the Flytrap? Does that pretty succulent really kill bugs? Get the answer to these and all your other carnivorous plant questions. The Bay Area Carnivorous Plant Society is having their annual show and sale Saturday June 25, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Lakeside Park Garden Center in Oakland. Admission is free. There will be a fantastic collection of plants on display, a huge selection of plants, books, etc. for sale, plant raffles held hourly and a plant auction. This is your chance to pick the brains of some of the most knowledgeable growers and hobbyists in the carnivorous plant world and pick up some fascinating new plants for your collection.
