Oooo… it’s free donuts on Friday because it’s “National Doughnut Day”

Friday, June 2, 2017 is National Doughnut Day, supposedly a real holiday created in 1938 by the Salvation Army to honor volunteers who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.
In celebration, Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut of any variety today at all participating stores including those in Concord, Daly City, Union City, San Jose, Mountain View and Santa Clara. No purchase is necessary, but remember, it’s just one free doughnut per person.
