50 “Stomper” Statues Pop-Up All Over Oakland
To help commemorate the team’s 50 years in Oakland, the Oakland A’s are proud to introduce Stomper in the Town, a public art event that features 50 life-size statues of the lovable A’s mascot throughout Oakland (well.. life size for a human, not an elephant).
The 50 statues were created into unique works of art by local artists and will be on display in Oakland throughout the 2018 season.
Find the Stompers throughout Oakland. See the map where the Stompers are located.
Fans can sponsor a Stomper statue with the option to take him home at the end of the public art display. All proceeds will benefit the Oakland A’s Community Fund, which takes an innovative and dynamic approach to promote education, support youth sports, and provide economic opportunity in order to help make Oakland and the East Bay a more equitable and inclusive community.
