Lower Haight Spring Art Walk & Scavenger Hunt
Spend your Friday night wandering the Lower Haight at their Spring 2011 Art Walk with tons of tons of food carts, live music (including a rooftop concert), deals, discounts, a fun photo scavenger hunt (pictured), a Memphis Minnie’s sidewalk BBQ and more.

Mission Beach Cafe Pie-Making Class
Alan Carter, Pastry Chef at San Francisco’s Mission Beach Cafe will share his favorite pastry recipe and his never-fail method for rolling out a pie crust. He’ll even be bringing samples of his favorite early-spring fruit pies for you to taste – Yum!

Grilled Cheese Tasting
Award-winning cheese expert Laura Werlin (and author of “Grilled Cheese, Please” comes to the teeny Omnivore Books to give tips on how to elevate the classic grilled cheese sandwich to an innovative meal changer. They’ll be making grilled cheese sandwiches at this event for tasting with Cabot Creamery cheeses

Final Four Free BBQ
There’s five hours of college basketball to watch on Saturday afternoon. Not only will Russian Hill bar Shanghai Kelly’s show the games, but as long as you buy a drink, they’ll also break out the BBQ for a free mini feast during the games. The menu is a game-day decision, but expect passed bbq appetizers like sausages, meatballs or tri-tip sandwiches.

Free Sailboat Ride Day
Berkeley’s largest sailing and windsurfing co-op will celebrate the start of the spring sailing with its first Open House of 2011. Pray for good weather and get taken out of a free sailboat ride with an experienced sailor.
