Watch This Parrot’s Impromptu Sing Along at Oakland Zoo

Thanks, KRON4 for letting us know that an adorable little parrot performed an impromptu sing-along at Oakland Zoo with a local bluegrass band.

Dirty Cello is a bluegrass band that gets your heart thumping and your toes tapping – no matter how many toes you have. When asked to play for the animals at the Oakland Zoo, they said “abZOOlutely!”

It happened on Friday, May 15th. They played for elephants, giraffes and tortoises. Some animals were interested in the music, others didn’t care. But when they got to “Brock,” the Amazon parrot, things got really interesting

The band found out that the bird sings in E-Flat so the band played a jam in the key and Brock sang along. It was zoo-per amazing!

When bluegrass band @DirtyCello asked if they could come play for the animals, we said “abZOOlutely!”

Little did they know Brock the Parrot would take center stage ??
