Bay Area Distilleries Now Make Hand Sanitizer Instead of Booze

Say goodbye (for now) to your favorite Flanders Style Red Ale Beers or Botanica Spirits Gin. Say hello to small-batch, locally-made hand sanitizers made from booze.

KRON4 shared with us that Bay Area distilleries like Falcon Spirits Distillery in Berkeley, Prohibition Spirits in Sonoma and Seven Stills Brewery and Distillery in San Francisco have stopped making booze and spirits for the time being.

This is to give way to temporarily making hand sanitizers to help stop the spread.

We are making progress towards getting the first run of sanitizer in bottles. Picked up samples of the plastic bottles we are using and getting the label applicator and date coder calibrated. The first tanker will arrive on Wednesday and we are hoping to begin shipping the preorders out by Saturday along with a big shipment for Kaiser. Stay healthy! #handsanitizer

The active ingredient in Handsanitizers, you can make it at home. Valley Beverage Company in #shermanoaks is a great store, and among their great selection they have this product. I’m surprised I find such a high 96% ABV in the market. It is definitely not for drinking at this proof 192 #Repost @valleybev with @get_repost
