SF Hit 100 Degrees Yesterday + Bay Area Record Temps
Thank you KRON4 and ABC7 for letting us know about the Bay Area historic heat records throughout the Labor Day weekend.
For the first time since 2017, San Francisco reached a high of 100 degrees as of 2:45 pm on September 6, breaking the previous record for this date by 8 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, SF also broke the highest minimum temperature throughout the day of 71 degrees (breaking previous record of 64 degrees from 2004)

The National Weather Service reported that the city of San Jose hit 103 degrees as of 1:55 pm, breaking the record of 100 degrees set in 1923. The city of Oakland hit 97 degrees at 1:30 pm, breaking the 95 degrees record set in 1979. Livermore saw 111 degrees and Napa reached 110.
The heatwave continues for the Labor Day holiday Monday. Winds are forecast to relax Wednesday morning.
