Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing Now Open at Alameda County Fairgrounds
Thanks to ABC7 for sharing the good news that a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site opened at Alameda County Fairgrounds on Monday.
Effective April 27, Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare (SHC – VC) in coordination with the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin and the Alameda County Fairgrounds will be operating a drive through testing site for COVID-19.
The testing site will be open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm or while supplies last. No appointment is needed. Testing is available to patients with or without a physician order.
Symptoms/conditions qualifying a member of the public (residents of Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin) for testing include at least one of the following items listed below:
- Fever above 100 degrees
- Shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms
- Recent exposure to confirmed or suspected coronavirus
- Other chronic diseases or conditions, such as blood disorders, kidney or liver disease, diabetes, heart, lung or neurological disease, and compromised immune system
- Over the age of 65
- Currently or recently pregnant
- Homeless
Testing site can accommodate 150 tests per day, or 750 for the week. Test results may take up to 72 hours, but may be available sooner. Patients will need to provide a phone number or email to receive results and follow-up information, and must be 10 years of age or older to receive testing. All insurances are accepted and will be billed, but there will be no out of pocket costs. Cash pay fees are waived.
To access the testing site, enter through the Alameda County Fairgrounds Gate 12 located off Valley Avenue, Pleasanton. Follow signage to the testing location. Please note, if capacity is reached or if operating hours have changed, signage will be posted at the Gate 12 entrance of the fairgrounds.
