Earth Hour 2018
Join environmentally conscious people all over the globe by turning off your lights for one hour on Saturday night and instead light candles, or simply enjoy the dark of the night.
Starting as a symbolic lights out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour has grown to be the world’s largest action for climate change. From the Eiffel Tower to the Empire State Building, and the Bird’s Nest stadium to Burj Khalifa, thousands of landmarks will switch off their lights in solidarity for the planet.
On Saturday, March 24 at 8:30 pm local time, skylines around the world will go dark as millions celebrate WWF’s Earth Hour to spark global awareness and action on nature and the environment.
In a show of support, the Golden Gate Bridge, The Transamerica Pyramid Center, and Ghirardelli Square, along with dozens of buildings and monuments around the world will turn off their non-essential lighting for one hour.
Participation is easy. By flipping off your lights at 8:30 pm local time, you will be making the switch to a cleaner, more secure nation and prosperous America.
