The “Now” Festival
Now is a community festival akin to SXSW and they’ll be taking over the neighborhoods around San Francisco’s iconic Panhandle (plus a few all over the city) to produce a week of mostly free events twice a year – in the spring and in the fall.
Hundreds of people will contribute to a neighborhood-wide explosion of community projects. In the past projects have included free yoga workshops, silent discos, acoustic jam sessions, book talks, cookie swaps and lots more. Most events are free, but a few ask for donations or have nominal fees.
