Look up in the sky when you hear the roaring of jet engines and head down to SF’s northern waterfront and Dogpatch for San Francisco’s annual Fleet Week airshow and festival.

FREEMuch more than just the Blue Angels, this yearly festival and celebration of military power typically features a full airshow, Coast Guard rescue demonstrations, plus Navy ship tours, live music, a parade of ships underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, and tons more.
Air Show & Blue Angels – Oct 6-8
Taking place over three consecutive days in the skies above the City’s waterfront, this event attracts over a million people around the Bay.
Featuring the United States Navy Blue Angels, the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor, the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18, Canadian Snowbirds and, from France, the Breitling Jet Team.

Parade of Ships – Friday, Oct. 6
The annual Fleet Week Parade of Ships will take place on Friday, October 6, 2017. The SFFD Fireboat “St. Francis” will be the first ship under the GG Bridge at 11:00 AM
Ship Tours – October 5-9
Throughout Fleet Week, thousands of visitors climb aboard amphibious carriers, destroyers and cruisers docked at the Embarcadero to get a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of the sailors serving in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian Navy. Admission to ship tours is first-come-first served and there’s a list of prohibited items and visitors’ guidelines.
Bark in the Park “K9 Heroes” – Sat. Oct. 7
The annual “Bark at the Park” honors our K-9 heroes and their human friends during San Francisco Fleet Week at Duboce Park from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Watch and learn about working K-9s. Each year is different but expect to see demos of doggies that work for the coast guard, SFPD, the fire department, the sheriff’s department, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and more.
The Humanitarian Assistance Village – Oct 5-7
The Humanitarian Assistance Village is an interactive demonstration of U.S. Military and Civil capabilities in responding to a disaster. The 2017 Village will include an educational program for participants to learn about these capabilities. Guided by a “Passport”, participants will be encouraged to explore four different theme camps and receive a stamp from each: Mass Care and Shelter, Power and Utilities, Community Response & Rescue, and Environmental Management & Decontamination.
Participants who turn in a completed Passport with 4 stamps will be eligible for a prize drawing.
The Village is open from 9am to 5pm on Friday-Sunday, October 5-7, 2017 on Marina Green.
