Oakland’s Popular Birria Truck Offers Free Meals For Those in Need

While a lot of small businesses are suffering, some are going the extra mile to take care of the community and help those in need.

Thanks to SF Eater for sharing an uplifting story about La Santa Torta, the popular Oakland based birria food truck, that is paying it forward by giving away free meals to those who cannot afford one. This has always been their policy, and they’re still continuing to offer a hot, tasty meal for anyone in need.

“La Santa Torta is still out there slinging its Jalisco-style birria tacos and tortas six days a week out of a parking lot in Oakland’s Jack London District. And, more than that, it’s still giving food away to anyone who asks for it”
