Free Mother’s Day Roses
The San Francisco Rose Society continues its tradition on Sunday, May 12, 2013 with its 71st annual Mother’s Day Rose Show at Golden Gate Park’s Hall of Flowers with a rose demonstration from 12:30 to 4 pm in the exhibition hall.
Rose society members and consulting rosarians will be on hand to discuss rose care and answer rose-related questions from the public.

Hall of Flowers/County Fair Building (near 9th & Lincoln), Golden Gate Park, SF
– FREE Admission
– FREE Roses at 4 pm (first come, first served)
Free Rose Giveaway: After the show at 4 pm, the public is welcome to free roses (yes, you the public can pick up free roses because the SF Rose Society is forbidden by the city to sell anything in Golden Gate Park)
So instead of just throwing away ALL the roses from the rose show, the San Francisco rose society removes the flowers from their show containers and places the roses on a table in the lobby of the Hall of Flowers. The rose society encourages the public to help themselves to a few roses or make a bouquet for themselves. There will be rose society members assisting the public with the free roses.
