On 4/20 a non-profit hopes to host the biggest pie fight ever seen

Are you ready to experience San Francisco’s first Gladiator-Style Guinness World Record 1,000 Man Pie Fight? Join and enter an all-out pie war battlefield while help raising awareness and funds for a new, local non-profit.

Will this event actually take place? Who knows! Funcheap has no idea if this is just a pie-in-the-sky (he he) idea or if this event will actually take place. But here’s the details below and you can judge for yourself.

Event Schedule
• 12PM to 3PM: Preregistration and Party
• 4PM to 4:30PM: Event Begins
• 4:30PM: Pie Warfield
• 4:45PM Winner Announcement
• 5PM until water runs out: Wet Sponge Toss Party

Munchie Mania are monthly food exploration parties that the non-profit, Embrace the Munch, will soon be hosting. Their mission is to encourage the public to explore new foods and taste.

The goal of this massive food fight is to raise awareness, increase corporate sponsorship, and promote their social media #embracethemunch. Each pie flung will represent the hundreds who support and can’t wait for this amazing opportunity.

They will be running a couple of contests:

  • The Most Impressive Gladiator Costume Contest: Love cosplay or want to revive an old costume? The winner will be given the honor of eliciting the war cry in front of an army as we make our mark in history!
  • Team Survival Contest: Insert your strategy nerds here! The team color with the least amount of hits will be given a prize. But remember, you may have a team between 250 to 500 people! Time to get your textbooks out.
  • The “Most Favored” Popularity Contest: Here’s your chance to see how much your online fans really adore you. The internet personality who raises the most from their fan base using their popular user name will be awarded with press recognition and given an exclusive mystery prize in front of thousands. The progress can be viewed from the organization’s GoFundMe.

Please arrive early as thousands are expected to show. You can become a part of history by RSVP’ing to their event through their Facebook page.

Ponchos and water for cleaning will be provided. We recommend that you bring your own protective eyewear as things will get messy. Did we forget to tell you that there will be a Wet Sponge Toss Party to help clean up the mess and rejuvenate Mother Earth? See you there!
