The 15th Annual Jerry Day is an annual civic and cultural event that celebrates one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time and San Francisco native son, Jerry Garcia and his Excelsior roots.
The all day concert and festival takes place at the appropriately named “Jerry Garcia Amphitheater” in McLaren Park. Jam out to live music from an eclectic mix of performers including several who played with Jerry Garcia Band in the ’80s and ’90s from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

- Stu Allen & Mars Hotel – 3:00pm – Filled with jam band veterans and Grateful Dead enthusiasts, this band is sure to please even the most discriminating dead-head.
- Melvin Seals and JGB – 12:45pm – Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”
- Midnight North – 11:30am – Regular on the California summer festival circuit.
The concert is presented by Friends of Jerry Garcia Amphitheater.
