No Face Mask in Public? Napa Can Now Fine You Up to $500
Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know that Napa County has now officially instituted a fine of up to $500 for people who violate public health orders.
Napa County released the Urgency Enforcement Ordinance on July 20, which states that people who violate a Public Health Order such has hosting large gatherings, or going outside in public without a face mask can be fined anywhere between $25 to $500.
Businesses that fail to enforce the mask and social distancing rules can be fined up to $5,000.
Employees who work in the county’s code enforcement office will be enforcing the ordinance, not police or sheriff’s deputies.
