Thank You SF, for Staying Away From Hippie Hill on 4/20

Quiet and peaceful, no rules were broken, a good start in flattening the curve.

Thanks to ABC7 and KPIX 5 for reporting the impact of Coronavirus to SF’s 4/20.

As we all know SF canceled the 4/20 Hippie Hill event to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. Her tough words, “We will not tolerate anyone coming to San Francisco for 4/20 this year,” was been put into action. San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park was empty on the morning of 4/20.

An event that was once filled with crowds of people and clouds of smoke, Hippie Hill indeed looked very different from its previous years, with chain link fence, off-limit signs, policemen patrolling and guarding the empty field.

Although there really wasn’t much of a “choice” we appreciate that 4/20 enthusiasts stayed home and found other ways to celebrate this year.

It’s a different kinda green grass you’ll see this year. Quiet and peaceful, no rules were broken, a good start in flattening the curve.
