San Francisco Carnaval
The 2015 San Francisco Carnaval Festival (May 23-24, 2015 from 10 am to 6 pm) transforms Harrison Street into a wonderland of food, music, dance, art, crafts. 37th Annual San Francisco Carnaval Festival

Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets
FREE, but donations acceptedSpanning eight blocks, this two-day annual street festival takes place on Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets.
On Sunday, May 24th, the Grand Parade starts at 9:30am at the corner of 24th and Bryant Streets, where it will proceed West to Mission Street. From there, the parade heads North on Mission down to 17th Street, where it will turn East and flow into the Festival area.
Details are yet to be announced, but entertainment typically includes:
- Music and performance on every street corner of the festival including:
- Brazilian and Latin American music and dance
- Afro-Cuban, reggae, rock and funk bands including Chelle, Bayonics, Sambaxe, Funknauts, Big Mountain Reggae and more
- Dance from Sistas–Wit–Style, Ruedo Con Ritmo, Latin Dance Grooves and more
- Carnaval DJ Block Party
- Arte Expo featuring works from the Mexican Museum, Mission Cultural Center, Galleria de la Raza, Acion Latina, BRAVA, and Precita Eyes
- Low Rider Art Car Show
- Niñolandia, a pint-sized party for the little ones offering children’s activities
- Zona Verde, presenting green services for our planet
