San Francisco Priest Claims COVID News is “Largely Unreal”
Pastor at Inner Richmond church says media is over-hyping COVID in order to try to unseat Donald Trump

Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know that a San Francisco pastor has claimed that “news reports on COVID are largely unreal.”
The Rev. Joseph Illo of Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Geary and 8th Ave. in the Inner Richmond wrote in a church website bulletin (which has since been deleted) that the media has inflated the severity of the pandemic because they want to Trump to lose in November.
To defend his position that coronovirus is overblown, the priest stated that he knows thousands of people but that only three of them had contracted the coronavirus.
