The SF Recreation and Parks Department has given the OK to rename Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park after Robin Williams.

The grassy lawn near Hippie Hill has been home to “Comedy Day” a free annual comedy festival for the past 25 years – and Robin Williams made several surprise appearances at the festival.
