At NightLife, smart revelers receive special discounted evening admission to the California Academy of Sciences on Thursday evenings with unique special events each week.
- Thursdays from 6-10 pm
- Tickets are $12 ($10 for Academy members).
- Last entry is 9 pm. 21+ with valid ID.

There’ll be no rotten tomatoes here, as SF Sketchfest makes its triumphant comedy return to NightLife with an impressive lineup of comedic talent in tow.
- Among 38,000 live animals, enjoy the comedic stylings of Dork Forest with Jackie Kashian, Competitive Erotic Fan SCIENCE Fiction, Roderick on the Line with John Roderick and Merlin Mann, and You’re The Expert Podcast with Chris Duffy.
- Plus, catch standup comedy by Todd Glass (Comedy Central, Conan O’Brien) Josh Gondelman, Myq Kaplan, Caitlin Gill, Sean Keane, and more. Feeling sketchy? Get immortalized and take home a custom drawing by cartoonists Michael Capozzola, Gwen Perry and Jonathan Lemon.
- In the planetarium, take a comical trip to the edge of the cosmos and back with a “Sketchy Tour of the Universe” at 6:30 pm, followed by two showings of Earthquake.
- In the East Pavilion, get down to the alt-pop, synth and new wave beats of the New Wave City DJs, SF’s foremost 80’s dance party.
