One of SF’s Only Campsites Opens Reservations on March 14
Outdoor lovers can not only camp within the city of San Francisco, they will soon be able to reserve a campsite online.
The Presidio’s Rob Hill Campground, one of only two campgrounds in the city, will be available online for reservations for the first time beginning Monday, March 14.
Nestled in a secluded, 4-acre forest with views of the Pacific Ocean and just a short walk from the Golden Gate Bridge, the campground offers a one-of-a-kind national park experience.
“We’re happy to welcome visitors to enjoy another season of great camping experiences in the Presidio,” said Presidio Trust visitor services manager Andrea Parker. “It’s especially exciting to see Rob Hill join the list of other national park campgrounds serviced by Recreation.gov, for real-time online reservations.”
The campground will be open April 1st to October 31st for the 2022 camping season.
As San Francisco’s only group campground, Rob Hill offers a national park camping experience just minutes from the city. Here you will have access to all of the recreational opportunities the Presidio of San Francisco has to offer, including hiking and biking trails, scenic overlooks, picnic sites, beaches, a golf course, and so much more. The campground’s spacious campsites make it a perfect choice for groups of all kinds, including multi-family gatherings, school field trips, and scout troops.
