“Starve a Vampire” Day
8 billion mosquitoes can’t be wrong, so it’s time to start starving some vampires.
The Blood Centers of the Pacific are hosting their annual Halloween Blood Drive in their donor coach parked at Two Embarcadero Center on Front Street from 8 am to 4 pm on October 31, 2014.

There’ll be a breakfast buffet until 11 am, then refreshments for all donors, as well as a costume contest and a raffle for two tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s newest show Kurious-Cabinet of Curiosities.
It takes only about 45 minutes to donate–including paperwork and a few tests (BP etc) by the nurse. And they’ll probably hook you up with some tasty snacks and a little nap time afterward.
From noon to 1:30 pm there will be a homemade Star Wars costume contest with prizes. Please keep them classy.
