Celebrate Hanukkah 2014 with the 40th annual lighting of the 25 foot tall mahogany Bill Graham Menorah in Union Square.
Lighting ceremonies take place from Tuesday, December 16-23, 2014, at approximately 5 pm on most days (Friday is at 3 pm and Saturday is at 7 pm). This San Francisco tradition, the brainchild of rock and roll concert promoter Bill Graham, begun in 1975.

There will be a procession of Vehicles with Menorah’s on them that will circle the Square, then, travel around San Francisco Spreading the Light. The procession will be lead by the Mitzvah Mobike!! Join Rabbi Yosef Langer and Chabad of SF in lighting The Bill Graham Menorah and celebrating Chanukah in Union Square. For many Jews and non-Jews alike, this beautiful tradition is an opportunity to share culture and rejoice in our freedom of religion in America.
Bill Graham Presents Alums to light the Menorah! Musical Performances by Jerry’s Kosher Deli & The Kids from Everybody is a Star. Special Appearance by Olate Dogs (Winners of America’s Got Talent). Kids Crafts Activities Start at 2 pm.

on the 7th Night at 7:30 pm, Rabbi Langer, The Rally Rabbi, will be lighting a Menorah at Jewish Heritage Night with the Warriors at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Jewish Heritage Scarf with each special event ticket.- Tuesday, December 23 | Lighting Ceremony at 5 pm
After the ceremony in Union Square, head to Westfield San Francisco Centre which has partnered with the Bill Graham Menorah Project to host a grand menorah lighting at 6 pm. The celebration will take place on Level 4 Under the Dome with Rabbi Moshe Langer of Chabad of Pacific Heights presiding. Open to the public and free of charge, the family-friendly gathering will include traditional treats, arts and crafts, dreidel spinning, and live performance by Jewish Spiritual Rocker, Rabbi Yehuda Ferris.
