While details can change, it’s expected that Newsom will announce the specific rules for what can/can’t open in the State of California on Friday and give specific guidelines for which “lower-risk” businesses can open.
Initial guidance from the Governor suggested opening on Friday in a limited fashion would be business like bookstores, clothing stores, toy stores, florists and others, but with social distancing rules put in place.
Will the Bay Area Reopen Stage 2 as well?
Please note that it’s up to local jurisdictions to make their final decision if they want to reopen as well. Early reports suggest that the Bay Area may not be a part of this “stage 2” reopening. San Francisco and the Bay Area will likely issue guidance after the Governor’s press conference
