SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2025
The 2025 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 10, 2025 with La Santa Cecilia to kick off its 25th Anniversary Season.
The CMC 30th Street Chorus is a choir of older adults from the 30th Street Senior Center directed by award-winning Mexican-born, Mills College-educated flutist and mezzosoprano Martha Rodriguez-Salazar.
Singing in Tagalog, English, and Spanish, the chorus celebrates its diverse members with songs from the Philippines, the United States, and Latin America (particularly Mexico), accompanied by Jennifer Peringer on accordion.
One of 12 such choirs organized by San Francisco’s Community Music Center and located at partnering senior centers throughout the city, the 30th Street Chorus is tuition free and open to adults over 55. The double bill also features the CMC Veterans Equity Center Older Adult Choir, which is located close to the Yerba Buena Gardens and mainly performs in Tagalog
