Converse Rubber Tracks Live present a free hip hop concert featuring Schoolboy Q and Antwon on Tuesday December 3, 2013.
Free, but an RSVP is required.
Although Schoolboy Q (Black Hippy Crew) the artist born Quincy Matthew Hanley has only been rapping since 2007, his bluntly charismatic presence on wax should’ve already put him on your radar as one of rap’s emerging voices.
Punk and rap have always run on the parallel lines of being direct, dynamic and straightforward. San Jose native Antwon comes from both schools and it clearly shows in his delivery. With a sound that can easily evoke memories of De La Soul or B.I.G., Antwon has been tearing it up as of late, playing at this year’s FYF and Treasure Island Music Festival.
