Event Details

Orquesta La Moderna Tradición, which performs a mix of contemporary timba-infused arrangements of Cuban Danzón music, will be performing at the Mission District library branch as a part of the SF Public Library’s “American Sabor” exhibit on Saturday, October 1. So get out of your chair and be inspired to pick up some of your very own saucy dance moves from this San Francisco-based musical troupe’s Cuban-style tunes.

About “American Sabor”
Everything from samba to salsa will be covered in “American Sabor,” an exhibition on Latinos in U.S. Popular Music in the Skylight Gallery of the SF Main Library from Saturday, August 27 through Sunday, November 13. In support of this traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian, the library will also be hosting a series of free music, dance, film and lectures, all in the spirit of celebrating the true flavor of Latin music in the United States.
