The San Jose Sharks are out of the Stanley Cup playoffs (sniff, sniff) but Paul Newman still kicks butt in the 70’s sports film Slap Shot.

Cafe Royale’s Cult Movie Night presents: Slap Shot (1977) 123 min

Film depicts a minor league hockey team that resorts to violent play to gain popularity in a declining factory town. Featuring Paul Newman and Michael Ontkean and directed by George Roy Hill.
