Earth Week Free Events | Hayes Valley Farm

Hayes Valley Farm has been a poster child for change and sustainibility, having undergone a drastic (but delightful) change from for freeway on-ramp to urban farm in about 400 days.

They are following San Francisco’s official (and huge) Earth Day celebration with their own Earth Week, filled with Free activities, classes, workshops, and fun events during the week of April 24 through April 29

Sunday, April 24, 2011

• Outdoor Yoga, 11:30am-12:30pm
• Kitchen Garden Installation in the Haight, Rally at the farm at 12pm
• Family day with kids activities, 12-5pm
• Work party, 12-5pm
• Tabling with local environmental organizations (featuring BACE Time Bank, Food & Water Watch, Growing Home Community Garden, SF Permaculture Guild, Kitchen Garden SF, the WIGG Party), 12-5pm
• Community art projects, live acoustic music and potluck, 12-5pm
