Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica—Opening Friday, January 20, with a reception from 7* to 9 pm, are three new exhibitions. In the Main Gallery, established artist Elaine Badgley Arnoux (b. 1926) will be showing paintings and mixed media pieces in Along the Way — The Space of Remembering. Concurrently, in the West Gallery the Art Guild of Pacifica begins the year with a group show titled, Dreams. And, we’re delighted, after a two year hiatus, for the return of the Fog Fest Invitational Photography Show in the East Gallery. As part of the opening reception, screenings of “Shadow & Light, the Life & Art of Elaine Badgley Arnoux” a film by William Farley, will take place at *6:30 pm and 8:00 pm on the 20th. Additional special events during the shows include a Gallery Walk and Photographer’s Talk in the East Gallery on Sun, Jan 29, 2:00 pm. And on the last day of all shows, at 3:30 pm on February 12, curator Susan Hillhouse Leask will talk with artist Elaine Badgley Arnoux about her work in the Main Gallery. Sanchez Art Center is located at 1220 Linda Mar Blvd, Pacifica, CA. Gallery hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm, and by appointment, during exhibits (except opening nights).
