“KaraOakland” Inaugural Competitive Karaoke League Season (2024)
KaraOakland is not your typical karaoke night; it’s a full-fledged league that brings together aspiring singers, former theater kids, and extreme silliness for an unforgettable entertainment experience. League play will take place every Monday night at the esteemed Legionnaire Saloon from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Five Key Highlights of KaraOakland:
- Team-Based Competition: KaraOakland is the only team-based competitive karaoke league in Oakland. Participants can either sign up individually and be placed on a team or enter as fully-formed teams of up to eight members. This format offers a fantastic opportunity to forge new friendships or strengthen existing bonds.
- Themed Match-Ups: Each week, KaraOakland presents themed match-ups that will challenge competitors to bring their A-game. Performers are encouraged to get creative with props and costumes to enhance their act.
- Audience Participation: The audience gets to be a part of the action too! After each round of performances, the crowd will cast their votes to determine the winner of the match-up, adding an interactive and engaging element to the competition.
- State-of-the-Art Karaoke System: The Legionnaire Saloon boasts a state-of-the-art karaoke system, ensuring that participants enjoy top-notch sound quality and a giant song book.
- Supporting Local Arts: KaraOakland is committed to giving back to the community. A portion of the bar proceeds during league play will go towards supporting local arts non-profits, contributing to the vibrant cultural scene in Oakland.
