Join us for a Family Art Workshop! This workshop is part two of a two part activity, Monochromatic Collage and Blackout Poetry, though each part can stand alone as well. Part Two is Blackout Poetry.
For Part Two, we will be using a magazine, black marker, and scissors to make blackout poetry! With old magazines or newspapers will be cutting out the text and blacking out portions to make a poem.
Similarly to part one, the age range for this craft is 10 years old and older. This is meant to be a craft the entire family can do, so an adult supervisor is required to attend, and highly encouraged to craft alongside the child. No artistic skill required!
You are not required to attend the first event to come to the second event, however if you would like to join this event please bring a base paper you would like to glue your poetry on top of, if you would like to have a back for your poems.
Supplies: A magazine, scissors, glue or tape, and base paper (previous collage paper OR printer or construction paper. Your base paper can be any color you would like to use)
You will receive instructions to join via zoom after you sign up here. Look for an email from MoAD after you sign up, if you don’t receive it in your inbox, look in your spam or junk mail.
